Listen, thou shall not spout!

Once in a while it is important to listen. However smart we are, we may not know everything. Instead of being an overbearing irritant, you can be smart by being silent and lending an ear to see what the issue might be, what the other person is sharing and how it can help you resolve the critter at hand.

Listening also allows you to exhaust the speaker, to complete their flow of thought and express what they want to say. So this month, before we spout all our thoughts and opinions, let us learn to listen.

Monday Blues: Excel in abundance!

Every day we come upon several situations where we can excel but most of us choose to ignore them. This Monday, let us learn to use those opportunities to learn, to deliver, to succeed, to motivate, to encourage, to change, to grow and to excel.

Learning is a lifelong journey and only those who learn everyday have a chance to succeed everyday. While the emphasis is on the learning and improving, it is essential to look at excelling in what we do as unless you excel, you don't move forward. To excel you need to learn, to read, to understand and to be open. Do not hesitate to learn and to put things into practice and may you Excel in Abundance!

Top 5 regrets you don't want to have

A nurse questioned many people on their deathbed if they had any regrets and then listed below are the top five. You don't want to have them. Change today to ensure you don't regret later.

When questioned about any regrets they had or anything they would do differently, common themes surfaced again and again. Here are the most common five:
  1. I wish I’d had the courage to live a life true to myself, not the life others expected of me
  2. I wish I didn’t work so hard
  3. I wish I’d had the courage to express my feelings
  4. I wish I had stayed in touch with my friends
  5. I wish that I had let myself be happier

  4. Launch without a budget for marketing
  5. Begin by focusing on making lots of money
  6. Be indecisive
  7. Be inflexible
  8. Be cheapest on the market
  9. Believe starting your own business will give you free time
  10. Spend your early profits on prestige items
