Appreciate

How can you change someone's day and make it better?

There is an important component that makes you live up to your potential and helps others live up theirs. The influence a commendation or an appreciation can bring to your work day is amazing. I found this in an auto and the guy didn't bargain too.

Who can you appreciate today?

Positive psychology

Every one has the ingredients to succeed. Very few discover it. Even fewer chose to put them to work. Skip the negative and start looking at the positive.

Sing sing sing raja: Analysed

What is the secret behind this song going viral?

I love the lyrics and the music and simplicity. Let me see if I can break it down for us here. Here is what I feel makes this song a success and some takeaways from it we can use in our daily communication, whether online or offline.

Points for successful communication...
  1. Decide on the complete message
  2. Break it into small packets
  3. Easy to understand
  4. One message at a time
  5. Allow sequential processing
  6. Use good/pleasant rhythm/words/tone
  7. Respect your listener
  8. KISS

Bengaluru belebath

Local is the new style. Bengaluru belebath's mobile outlets reach out to several people who cannot get up in the morning and prepare boxes for their lunch, or would like to taste something outside.

This seems to be an excellent idea especially because of the price tag @ 25 INR for lunch. Moreover the cuisine is something that would remind you of traditional tastes of Karnataka, something you had taste3d from your granny's kitchen.

The success or failure of this venture might depend on several factors like the quality, cost and the quantity of the offering and how it would like to reach out to its customers in the longer run but one thing is for sure. It has got the takers from the huge working class who wouldn't mind shelling out the cost for what they have.

Brands can tap in to your space with an excellent offering anytime, only once. But if the offering is good and improves everyday with something or the other and keeps you engaged and smiling then that would be the path to success. Unfortunately, you don't find many such brands around. Here is wishing luck to Bengaluru Belebath's team

Converting negative energy into positive

You’ve done it before and you can do it now. See the positive possibilities. Redirect the substantial energy of your frustration and turn it into positive, effective, unstoppable determination.” – Ralph Marston

Here, I’m going to do a quick throwback to my high school physics to drive my point home a little bit deeper. The law of conservation of energy states that “the total amount of energy in a system remains constant over time”. In essence, energy can neither be created nor destroyed: it can only be transformed from one state to another. So you can transfer electrical energy to heat energy as in your cooker at home or chemical energy to electrical energy as in your batteries.
The point here is, you get a lot of different vibes from the world around you. Some negative, some positive. The truth is, you don’t need anything but positive energy in your life. If you think negative thoughts, you’ll yield negative results. Think positive thoughts and yield positive results. The only way to convert negative energy to positive is to be a positive thinker. When you get any words, reactions or attitude from anyone that brings you down or kills your morale, look for the positive side of it to encourage yourself and focus on that. No matter how minute or ridiculous the positive side seems, focus on it and don’t let yourself be bogged down by the negative.
Don’t get deceived by the school of thought that says focusing on the negative is being ‘realistic’. You can be realistic by thinking of how to remedy the situation and make it better or totally eliminate it. Doesn’t mean you’re not being realistic, you’re just working on a plan to convert that energy for your sanity. That in itself is a positive thing and should make it easier for you to focus on being happy.
Conclusively, negative energy CAN be converted. Actively train your mind to see the opportunities or positive side of every situation and you could significantly alter the course of your life.
