The working triangle

While most of the designs in the kitchen should be done to accommodate the tastes and work-style of the lady of the house, the working triangle remains the same. 

There should be easy access to the stove, refrigerator and the sink. It would be an added advantage if you have a counter away from the stove, near the refrigerator. 

 Ensure enough natural light and ventilation comes to the kitchen or have adequate lighting. 

Safety and ease of use are the primary guidelines.

Where is the fresh milk?

Studying the retail strategy and implementing it in daily life is different. Selecting the milk packets in the store set me thinking. The packets were neatly stacked and there were many. The packets were lined up, one behind the another and habitually you will reach to the one in the front. So retailers keep the fresh ones at the back. Seems a good idea as usually the visibility encourages the purchase and especially the ones that can be reached and picked up easily are the ones to go first.

So next time you reach for picking up some product at any of the retail outlet pick the one in the back and check the manufactured date and see if this works.
