Doubt?

This is my dear friend Pooja's facebook status today. I can't agree more.

" If it is true faith, let it shake. Truth will never go, and if the faith is with the truth, let it shake. It will never get lost. In fact, you should doubt as much as possible. You can say, 'Don’t doubt', only when a thing is not a genuine thing. If it is genuine gold, I tell you, go on scratching as much as possible. But if it is just rolled in gold, or gold polished, and then you say, 'Don’t scratch too much because it will disappear.' With true gold, any amount of scratching will not make it go away. Doubt is simply lack of energy. When you are high in energy, where is the doubt? Doubt comes when the energy is low. True faith is that which you shake a hundred times and it still stays on. That is true faith, and it will remain. "

Doubt & consumer psyche

The nature of doubt noting that, like faith, it can be a unifying force among people. Most people believe they are good in comparison to the world around them. Inside they might be really crooked but act really well. I have seen some really trusted ones fall over to the dark side(as Jedi master Yoda would say). Selling their soul to earthly temporary pleasures and gains they might not have lost much when compared to what they have gained now but who knows? I have seen friends, students, teachers!, mentors and what not change. This is a serious unifying force and like a pack of street dogs groups so easily. Put a doubt in one's mind and you have a following. Some famous success stories...
  • Saddam was hiding weapons of mass destruction
  • Did USA really go to the moon?
  • 911 conspiracy theory
  • Aliens!
  • Honest elections
  • Area 51 has aliens
  • Bermuda triangle
  • Mayan calender and 20.12.2012
  • A student can never know more than his teacher...
This list will go on. Can you add some more?

Back to where I started... Selling your soul/friendship/trust is a question of character. You decide what will be yours.
